Review and Specifications: ASUS Zenfone Zoom S
ASUS Zenfone Zoom S Review - Hey guys, today I’ll be reviewing the ASUS Zenfone Zoom S. This smartphone might sound a bit unfamiliar as it’s known as the ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom in other regions, but there are some key differences. Let’s dive in.

First Impressions
The design feels familiar, which isn’t surprising since the Zenfone Zoom S is part of the Zenfone 3 family. However, while the Zenfone 3 used a glass back, the Zoom S features a premium metal back. Although the metal finish is sleek, it can be a bit slippery. Fortunately, ASUS includes a soft case in the box for free.

The finishing and build quality are excellent. Despite housing a massive 5000mAh battery, the phone feels surprisingly light and thin. Normally, a battery of this capacity adds significantly more weight.
Ergonomics and Layout
The volume and power buttons are located on the right side and are perfectly positioned for thumb access when held in the right hand. The back features the camera module, fingerprint sensor, flash, and laser autofocus sensor. On the top, you’ll find the audio jack, while the bottom houses the microphone, speaker, and a USB Type-C charging port.
One downside is the lack of backlighting on the navigation buttons, making it difficult to find the Back, Home, and Task Manager buttons in the dark. Additionally, the Back button is on the left, which might be a reach for right-handed users.

Conclusion
Priced at nearly 6 million IDR (Rp. 5,999,000), you get a phone with highly capable front and rear cameras. The front camera holds its own against competitors that focus heavily on “selfie” marketing, and the rear dual-camera setup competes well with current flagships. Combined with extraordinary battery life, it’s a solid choice, though at this price point, there are faster options available. The final decision depends on your priorities.
